It’s decorating season! Decorating your space can add a lovely vibe to your home, and since it’s the winter season, it’s only fitting that we discuss some décor ideas you can incorporate into an area of your home where you’ll most likely be sitting around this winter…your fireplace!

In a previous post, I suggested some coffee table décor items. I also mentioned that coffee tables are frequently the focal point of a living room. In the colder months, the fireplace takes centre stage. So here are 5 decorative items you can place on your fireplace mantel to create a cosy atmosphere.

Hand Lettered Mantle Sign

Featuring a farmhouse inspired wooden frame and a hand lettered homely sign. This ‘gather’ quote décor sign can be a great welcoming décor idea to place on your mantel. Other variations of quotes are also available.

Artificial Rose & Eucalyptus Vine

This realistic looking green leaves and white rose lush garland is great to drape around a mantel. This vine is full of greenery with white 8 white roses dotted around to bring in the elegance.

Gold Metal Taper Candle Holders

This is a great way to decorate a mantel with little space. These vintage but modern candle holders are a great way to decorate a small mantel because they won’t take up much space but add a lovely elegant vibe.

Snow Wreath

If you would like to decorate a fireplace mantel on a budget this wreath can be a great addition. This wreath has a lovely snowy effect with some acorns dotted around. Great to hang above your mantel, you can even adorn it with some extra decorative items.

European Style Vintage Clock

This Retro looking clock would look great paired with a garland on a mantel or even next to some candles. It has a very classy look with a glass lens.

So there you have it, a quick rundown of some items you can put on your fireplace mantel to get into the holiday spirit!
