If you are looking to add a touch of boldness to your home without overwhelming your space, cherry red accents may be the way to go. This fall, cherry red is taking over the design scene and you don’t have to do much to make an impact.

Whether it’s cherry red throws for your living room or some cute cherry red picture frames , the right pop of red can make your space feel modern and seasonal.

Why Everyone’s Into Cherry Red Accents for Fall

It seems as though cherry red has become fall’s favorite statement shade, bold enough to feel sharp and modern but warm enough to compliment neutral tones. Some designers are recommending it to revive minimalist spaces that feel a bit too ‘quiet’

According to Helen Shaw, Director of Marketing at Benjamin Moore, “Cherry red is a great statement color. Be brave and rebel against decorating rules — it takes confidence to paint outside the lines”.

On that note, Emma Bestley, co-founder of YesColours, describes cherry red as “a cocooning color for the cooler months — romantic, luxurious, and warm, with undertones that add comfort”.

In a nutshell you can think of cherry red as your home’s version of a red lip — confident polished and timeless.

How to Add Cherry Red Accents Without Overdoing It

Cherry Red Throws for the Living Room: Drape a cherry red throw over a neutral couch for some warmth. It’s a simple swap that changes the mood for the season.

Cherry Red Candles for a Cozy Atmosphere: Festive dark red candles double as decor. Balance them with neutral ceramics for a calm yet inviting tone.

Cherry Red Picture Frames: Replace some black or wooden frames with red ones to create a color contrast and a subtle pop on a gallery wall.

Cherry Red Vases and Florals: A deep red vase filled with eucalyptus or dried hydrangeas adds vibrancy. Interior stylist Alexis Woodbury Earman suggests pairing cherry red with creams and whites “to complement, not overwhelm”.

Cherry Red Cushions for Seasonal Decor: Pair deep red cushions with beige, camel, or olive green for a look that feels intentional yet calm.
